Teaching Procedures:Step 1.Warm-up/Revision.1. Free talk.1) Whats the weather like today?2) What can you wear?

5、 3) What colour is your shirt / jacket / T-shirt? ? 2. Sing a song “This old hat”. (Design purpose: To create an atmosphere of English language through the familiar song. )Step 2 .Presentation. 1. Show the picture of the pretty dress.T: Look ! Whats this? Ss: Its a dress.T: What colour is it? S1:Its

6、 pinkIts beautiful. T:Yes, its beautifulIts pretty.(Have the students read and spell the word and the teacher writes it on the blackboard.)Then say like this: “ Look at that dress . Its pretty.”Use the bags of students, instruct them to say “Look at this bag. Its pretty.”Then practice the structure

7、“The is pretty” more times.2. Show another picture of a little girl.T:Look at that girl . Is she cute? Ss: Yes ,she is.T: She is also nice.Write and read the word “nice”. NICE means “beautiful or pretty”.Tell them the differences between “nice” and “beautiful” or “pretty”. Then lead them to practice
