Why dont you talk to your parents? 教學設計Section B(2a-3b) 主講教師: 張春玲 授課日期: 年 月 日教學內(nèi)容Section B 1 (2a-3b)課時第 1 課時教學目標1.知識目標(1)能掌握以下單詞:member, pressure, compete, opinion, skill, typical, football, cut out, continue, compare, comparewith, crazy, push, development, cause, usual (2)能掌握以下句型:-Why dont they just let their kids be kids? -Although its normal to want successful children, its even more important to have happy children. -They are always comparing them with other children.-Too much pressure is not good for a childs development.-The Taylors are a typical American family.2. 情感態(tài)度價值觀目標:了解中國及一些其他國家中學生們普通存在的生活及學習上問題,了解別人的生活現(xiàn)狀及他們苦惱,知道學習知識是很重要的事情,但它并不是生活全部。教學重點1. 掌握本課時出現(xiàn)的生詞及用法。2. 閱讀短文,獲得相關信息,提高學生們的綜合閱讀能力教學難點閱讀2b部分的短文并完成相關要求。教學方法Reading practice 任務型教學法、情境教學法課前準備教師多媒體課件,錄音材料學生預習2b教學活動設計教師活動學生活動Step 1. Reading1 Skim the article and answer the questionsa. What is the common problem for Chinese and American families?b. Who gives their opinions about the problems?設計意圖:讓學生快速閱讀全文,了解全文主旨大意,寫作結(jié)構(gòu)。2 Show reading skillGuessing the Meaning When reading something for the first time, do not worry about words you dont know .Use the context to help you guess the meaning. 教授學生本節(jié)課閱讀策略在閱讀活動中感知、實踐。 Step 3. Read carefullyA. Look at the words in bold in the article. Can you guess their meanings? Try to match them with the meaning below.B. Look for differences and similarities between things 設計意圖:通過細讀課文,讓學生找出文中和這些意思相近的詞,體會根據(jù)上下文語境猜詞的閱讀技巧在語篇中用法,以便更好地理解與運用。Step 4. Read again, judge T or F. 1. Chinese children have to take so many after-school classes on weekends these days. 2. Cathy Taylor really wants her threechildren to be successful, so she believes these after-school activities are important for them.3. Linda Miller thinks parents should send their small kids to all kinds of classes. 4. Linda thinks some parents push their kids too much. 5. Alice thinks kids shouldnt have time to relax and think for themselves. 設計意圖:用多媒體課件展示問題,讓學生帶著問題再次閱讀,了解大意,找出答案,使學生獲得具體信息。教師應鼓勵英語水平一般的同學回答,并借機給予寶貴的表揚,暗示學生要積極參與到課堂中來。Step 5. They may have some fun as well some skills. I dont agree that some parents push the kids to take these activities. 2. What should you do to relax? There are a lot of ways to relax. Id like to listen to music or play sports to relax.
