Period 1 (from 1a to 2c).Firstly, I want to analyze the teaching materials and the students.The language of this unit is “To describe the process
2、of making something”. This is the first lesson which plays an important role of the whole unit. The lesson is focused on the topic of making a mike shake and fruit salad. Countable and uncountable nouns will be further mentioned in the sentence pattern “How many.? / How much.?” At the same time, thi
3、s lesson enriches the knowledge of outside classroom and high-rises the moral sense of doing things by ourselves for happiness. The problem is, as junior students, most of them belong to the low level in utterance and expression, so I will set some situations and tasks to encourage Ss to speak out a
4、s freely as possible. According to New Curriculum and the characteristics of the students, I set my teaching aims as follows:Knowledge objects:1. The Students will be exposed to the following key words: milk shake, ingredient, blender, peel, cut up, putinto, pourinto, turn on, finally.2. The student
5、s will be practicing the pattern drills:How many +cn.? / How much + un.?How do you make a banana milk shake?Ability objects:1. The students will be able to describe a process and follow instructions correctly. 2. The students will be an active speaker and thinker to accomplish the tasks.Moral object
6、s:Try my best to cultivate Ss sense of doing things by themselves for happiness.Teaching important points: To help students grasp and understand key words and useful expressions.Teaching difficult points: To get students retell the process using the target verbs and follow instructions.Secondly, I w
7、ant to talk about my teaching methodology and Ss learning strategies. For this lesson, I mainly adopt the ESA theory (Engage, Study and Activate) and Task based learning method. In practice, I will use brainstorm, chant, pair work and discussion and CAI will be needed. As for the Ss, they should use
8、 the cognitive and social strategies to catch the chance to speak out. Also, they should have the consciousness of good cooperation and competition.At last, I want to discuss with you about my teaching procedures.Step 1 Warming up (5mins)I will show Ss a cup and let them guess “What can we put in su
9、ch a cup?” and let Ss talk about whatever they like to put in, such as tea, coffee, chalk, pencils and so on. Then according to their responses, I will elicit a special drink milk shake.(From the brainstorm, Ss may have a relaxing mood to start the new lesson and naturally lead in the topic of the l
10、esson.)Step2 Making milk shake (12mins)Do you know something about milk shake?What ingredients and tools do we need if we want to make a banana milk shake? Can we just put the whole banana into the blender? Learn the steps one by one.1. Chanting Time to remember the steps of making a milk shake.2. L
11、isten to 1b to put the sentences in the right order and retell the process. (This step helps Ss to describe the process of making a banana milk shake. By making and reading the chant, more Ss will get interested and remember the steps easily and correctly.)Step 3 Listening and learning (10mins)Just
12、now we used banana to make a milk shake, so how about the other fruits listed on the blackboard? So, lets make the fruit salad. How to ask the amount of the countable nouns and uncountable nouns? (In this step, I want Ss to practice the listening skills and emphasize the sentence pattern: How many +

How much + un.?)Step 4 Discussion (10mins)In this Part, the teacher will set a situation. “If Miss Zhang comes to your home, what will you prepare for me?” (By setting an authentic situation to let Ss put what they have learned into practice.)Step 5 Gift time (5mins)In this part, Ss make the gi
14、ft cat together with T with the help of the instructions. (Ss can make the cat creatively). (From this task, Let Ss know the importance of the words “first, next, then and finally”. At the same time, follow the instructions to make the Ss feel the happiness by doing things by themselves.)Step6 Summary and Homework (3mins)1. Try to make a milk shake or something else for your parents.2. Translate the useful phrases into English.3.
