Were going to have a picnic一、Teaching Contents: Today Im going to talk about Unit 1 of Module 2, FLTRP Primary English, Book 8. The topic is “Were going to have a picnic. “The topic is interesting ,so the Ss may be happy to learn it. 二、 It is about the students. Our students are in Grade 6 . The Ss have learned English for several years. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now.三、Teaching aims1. Aims on the knowledge(1) To study the new words and word groups “duck, noisy, walk around, have a picnic, wet ”and so on.(2) To enable the Ss to understand and speak: “What are you going to do?We are going to have a picnic.” Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations.2. Aims on the abilities(1) To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking.(2) To train the Ss ability of working in groups.(3) To foster Ss abilities of communication and their innovation. 3. Aims on the emotion(1)To foster Ss consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.(2) To lead Ss to show their love to our country.四、 Key-points of this lesson(1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: What are you going to do? (2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3) To develop Ss interest in English.五、 Difficult pointsTo help Ss to grasp “be going to” I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, playing games, finishing a survey and having a competition. And in this lesson a recorder, CAI, school things will be needed. Students should prepare some school things.六、 Teaching procedures Ill finish this lesson in five steps.Step 1. Warm-up and preview1. Sing a song together.2. Free talk between T and Ss about food “Im hungry, Im going to eat a hamburger. What are you going to eat?”.Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and talking and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step. Step 2. PresentationNow Ill mainly talk about this step. 1. P resent the sentence and words: “We are going to have a picnic.”(1) With the help of the PPT, Help the Ss understand the meaning of “be going to”. And the use of “be”. Then lead the Ss to read the sentence. And let Ss make some sentences with “be going to”. (2) By playing the PPT, I will teach the Ss new words: duck, noisy. The purpose of this is to present the new words and sentences in the situation, to help the Ss understand the language easily . Step 3.Teach the text.(1)Lead-in.T: Boys and girls, now I will show some words to you. You should make a story with them.Weekend , twelve oclock , walk around the lake , rain , ducks, is going to. (2) Divide the whole class into four groups to have a competition. Do you know what are Daming ,Simon and Simons mother going to do? Before we learn ,lets read the questions. (3)Group work.Find the sentences “be going to” and the word groups. and talk about the questions. (4)Group show.Answer the questions: (小組展示)They are Daming ,Simon and Simons mother. They are in the park.At half past twelve.They are going to walk around the lake.No.It is going to rain. (5)Read the text freely.(6)Play the tape. Let the students read after the recorder. Pay attention to the sentence. Step 4 PractiseT: Boys and girs,do you like the pictures? Lets look at them and say what .The pictures can arouse the Sss interest more easily. 1. Game.One student beats a drum, the others pass a flower. The drum stops, the pass stops. The student Who has the flower, must make a sentence with “be going to”.
