2、分別是第二單元英語考試翻譯碩士英語,第三單元基礎(chǔ)課考試英語翻譯基礎(chǔ)以及第四單元專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)課考試漢語寫作與百科知識。翻譯碩士英語重點考察考生的英語水平,總分100分,英語翻譯基礎(chǔ)重點考察考生的英漢互譯專業(yè)技能和潛質(zhì),總分150分,漢語寫作和百科知識重點考察考生的現(xiàn)代漢語寫作水平和百科知識,總分150分。三、考試基本要求1. 具有良好的英語基本功,掌握6000個以上的英語積極詞匯。2. 具有較好的雙語表達和轉(zhuǎn)換能力及潛質(zhì)。3. 具備一定的中外文化以及政治、經(jīng)濟、法律等方面的背景知識。對作為母語(A語言)的現(xiàn)代漢語有較強的寫作能力。四、 考試時間與命題每年1月份舉行,與全國碩士研究生入學(xué)考試同步進行。

4、平考試??荚嚪秶∕TI考生應(yīng)具備的英語詞匯量、語法知識以及英語閱讀與寫作等方面的技能。 三、考試基本要求 1. 具有良好的英語基本功,認知詞匯量在10,000以上,掌握6000個以上的積極詞匯,即能正確而熟練地運用常用詞匯及其常用搭配。2. 能熟練掌握正確的英語語法、結(jié)構(gòu)、修辭等語言規(guī)范知識。3具有較強的閱讀理解能力和英語寫作能力。四、考試形式本考試采取客觀試題與主觀試題相結(jié)合,單項技能測試與綜合技能測試相結(jié)合的方法。各項試題的分布情況見“考試內(nèi)容一覽表”。五、考試內(nèi)容: 本考試包括以下部分:詞匯語法、閱讀理解、英語寫作等。總分為100分。I詞匯語法1. 要求1)詞匯量要求:考生的認知詞匯
5、量應(yīng)在10,000以上,其中積極詞匯量為6,000以上,即能正確而熟練地運用常用詞匯及其常用搭配。2)語法要求:考生能正確運用英語語法、結(jié)構(gòu)、修辭等語言規(guī)范知識。2. 題型:多項選擇或改錯題II. 閱讀理解1. 要求:1)能讀懂常見英語報刊上的專題文章、歷史傳記及文學(xué)作品等各種文體的文章,既能理解其主旨和大意,又能分辨出其中的事實與細節(jié),并能理解其中的觀點和隱含意義。2)能根據(jù)閱讀時間要求調(diào)整自己的閱讀速度。2. 題型: 1) 多項選擇題(包括信息事實性閱讀題和觀點評判性閱讀題)2) 簡答題(要求根據(jù)所閱讀的文章,用3-5行字數(shù)的有限篇幅扼要回答問題,重點考查閱讀綜述能力)本部分題材廣泛,體裁

Whereas the Scots voted overwhelmingly for a parliament, the vote for a Welsh assembly scraped through by less than one percent on a turnout of less
29、 than 25 percent. Its powers were proportionately limited. The Assembly can decide how money from Westminster or the European Union is spent. It cannot, unlike its counterpart in Edinburgh, enact laws. But now that it is here, the Welsh are growing to like their Assembly. Many people would like it t

Its importance as figurehead will grow with the opening in 2003, of a new debating chamber, one of many new buildings that are transforming Cardiff from a decaying seaport into a Baltimore-style waterfront city. 33、gon, the nations symbol since the time of King Arthur, is everywhereon T-shirts, rugby jerseys and even cell phone covers.“Until very recent times most Welsh people had this feeling of being second-class citizens,” said Dyfan Jones, an 18-year-old student. It was a warm summer night, and I was sitti
34、ng on the grass with a group of young people in Llanelli, an industrial town in the south, outside the rock music venue of the National Eisteddfod, Waless annual cultural festival. The disused factory in front of us echoed to the sounds of new Welsh bands.“There was almost a genetic tendency for lac

But making sure it never happens again may not be possible, because the sudden impoverishment of those Enron wo
41、rkers represents something even larger than it seems. Its the latest turn in the unwinding of one of the most audacious promises of the 20th century. The promise was assured economic securityeven comfortfor essentially everyone in the developed world. With the explosion of wealth, that began in the
42、19th century it became possible to think about a possibility no one had dared to dream before. The fear at the center of daily living since caveman dayslack of food, warmth, shelterwould at last lose its power to terrify. That remarkable promise became reality in many ways. Governments created welfa
43、re systems for anyone in need and separate programs for the elderly (Social Security in the U.S.). Labour unions promised not only better pay for workers but also pensions for retirees. Giant corporations came into being and offered the possibilityin some cases the promiseof lifetime employment plus
44、 guaranteed pensions? The cumulative effect was a fundamental change in how millions of people approached life itself, a reversal of attitude that most rank as one of the largest in human history. For millennia the average persons stance toward providing for himself had been. Ultimately Im on my own
45、. Now it became, ultimately Ill be taken care of. The early hints that this promise might be broken on a large scale came in the 1980s. U.S. business had become uncompetitive globally and began restructuring massively, with huge Layoffs. The trend accelerated in the 1990s as the bastions of corporat
46、e welfare faced reality. IBM ended its no-layoff policy. AT&T fired thousands, many of whom found such a thing simply incomprehensible, and a few of whom killed themselves. The other supposed guarantors of our economic security were also in decline. Labour-union membership and power fell to their lo
47、west levels in decades. President Clinton signed a historic bill scaling back welfare. Americans realized that Social Security wont provide social security for any of us.A less visible but equally significant trend affected pensions. To make costs easier to control, companies moved away from defined
48、 benefit pension plans, which obligate them to pay out specified amounts years in the future, to defined contribution plans, which specify only how much goes into the play today. The most common type of defined-contribution plan is the 401(k). the significance of the 401(k) is that it puts most of t
49、he responsibility for a persons economic fate back on the employee. Within limits the employee must decide how much goes into the plan each year and how it gets investedthe two factors that will determine how much its worth when the employee retires. Which brings us back to Enron? Those billions of
50、dollars in vaporized retirement savings went in employees 401(k) accounts. That is, the employees chose how much money to put into those accounts and then chose how to invest it. Enron matched a certain proportion of each employees 401(k) contribution with company stock, so everyone was going to end
51、 up with some Enron in his or her portfolio; but that could be regarded as a freebie, since nothing compels a company to match employee contributions at all. At least two special features complicate the Enron case. First, some shareholders charge top management with illegally covering up the company
52、s problems, prompting investors to hang on when they should have sold. Second, Enrons 401(k) accounts were locked while the company changed plan administrators in October, when the stock was falling, so employees could not have closed their accounts if they wanted to.But by far the largest cause of
53、this human tragedy is that thousands of employees were heavily overweighed in Enron stock. Many had placed 100% of their 401(k) assets in the stock rather than in the 18 other investment options they were offered. Of course that wasnt prudent, but its what some of them did.The Enron employees retire
54、ment disaster is part of the larger trend away from guaranteed economic security. Thats why preventing such a thing from ever happening again may be impossible. The huge attitudinal shift to Ill-be-taken-care-of took at least a generation. The shift back may take just as long. It wont be complete un
55、til a new generation of employees see assured economic comfort as a 20th-century quirk, and understand not just intellectually but in their bones that, like most people in most times and places, theyre on their own.6.
