Yes, I do. /No, I dont.并引出本單元句型Can you ? Yes, I can. /No, I cant.Step 2: Learn to read the new words of Unit 1. (P121) 1. The Ss read the new words alone and mark the difficult words. 2. The Ss read the difficult words according to their phonetic symbols and deal with the pronunciation problems in groups of 4.3. Get No.3 of each group to read the new words to the class, the others listen. Any student can stand up to correct some pronunciation mistakes. If necessary, the teacher can offer help.4. Play the tape for the Ss to listen and correct their pronunciations.5. Get the students to read the words by reading like a poem. Eg: guitar, guitar, guitar, G-U-I-T-A-R,guitar!6. Ask No.4 to read in front of the class. Then get them to work in pairs to have a competition to see who can spell the word 5 times in one breath. Underline the words they havent grasped.3. Get the students to have a short dictation about the important words and phrases.
