TherearethreemechanismsbywhichVEEcanbeaccomplished:

1.Completion,withapre-setgrade,ofoneormorecoursesofferedbya

recognizedcollegeoruniversityandapprovedbythesponsoring

organizations.

a.Candidatesorfacultymemberswouldsubmitacourseorcoursesfor

consideration.

b.Generally,theonlysubmissionrequiredforcourseapprovalwillbethe

entryinthecatalog,includingpre-requisitesandadescriptionofthe

course.Atitsdiscretion,thecommitteemakingthedeterminationmay

requestadditionalinformation.

c.Toearnvalidationforanapprovedcourse,acandidatemustreceivea

gradeofB-orbetter.Ifthecourseisrepeated,thehighestgradeearned

canbeused.Iftheinstitutiondoesnotuselettergrading,the

institutionwillbeconsultedtodetermineanappropriatetranslation.

2.Achievingapre-setscoreonastandardizedexamination,asdetermined

bythesponsoringorganizations.

a.SpecifiedscoreminimumsontheAdvancedPlacement(AP)testsand

CollegeLevelExaminationProgram(CLEP)testsformicroandmacroeconomics

willbeacceptedasVEEcreditforeconomics.

b.ThecommitteeresponsibleforVEEimplementationwilldeterminewhich

otherexaminationsqualifyandthescorerequiredforcredit.Additional

c.Twooftheactuarialexamsforwhichspecificcoursecreditwasnot

receivedduringthe2000conversioncansatisfyVEE,asfollows:

StatisticalMethods)examinationmaybeusedforvalidationofApplied

Statistics.

ii.UnusedPDcreditsearnedfrompassingthepre-2000Course220

validationofCorporateFinanceandEconomics.Additionaldetailsonthese

twooptionsareincludedundertheconversionmappingsectionofthis

3.Completionofeducationalexperiencesasapprovedbythesponsoring
