2、 you.In my opinion, in foreign language teaching, it is of great significance to enhance students language proficiency by developing their learning skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore, it is meaningful to integrate the four skills in the process of teaching.Now Ill say Unit9
3、 What does he look like ?Ill talk about it by 5 parts.Part 1 Teaching material analysisThe topic Id like to choose is Section B2a-2c of Unit 9:What does he look like?from Junior English For China Students Book Go for it (Grade 7) published by the Peoples Education Press. The language goal of this un
4、it is to describe peoples looks. It is also the main content of this lesson. That is to say, to master a grammar point: What does he look like? /What do they/you look like?and how to put them into practice. So the learning of this lesson can also be of help for students to reconstruct their knowledg
5、e structures. A:Teaching aims:1. To master the new words and new phrases: artist,singer,another,describe,differently,also,real,in the end,refer to,first of all.2. Use What does he look like? /Is he tall or short?to make requests and responses. 3. Able to describe peoples looks in their lives.B:Teach
6、ing important and difficult points:Use What does he look like? /What do they/you look like? to make requests.Part 2: Teaching methodAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in Middle School is to cultivate students basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing an
7、d their good sense of the English language. So in this period, I will mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the students learn in real situations, so that students can have a better understanding of these sentences. And in this lesson, communication method, scene method
8、 will be needed.Part 3: Studying method I request the students to learn English independently, cooperatively and investigatively. Each unit in Go for it contains pair work、group work and games. The students who sit at the same desk and groups can make a discussion and learn each other. It makes each
9、 student be relaxed. They neednt worry about making mistakes. It can arouse students to think and to say what they want to say. Studying becomes more relaxed and pleased in this kind of environment.Part 4: Teaching proceduresIll finish this period in 5 steps.Step 1. Pre-reading(5 minutes) Firstly, I
10、ll show a short flash about the police and a woman are talking to the crimes look. Then ask students to fill in the chart in 2a.youngthintalllongcurly So lead in this lesson Unit9 What does he look like ?Reading.Step 2.While-reading(10 minutes) This part can cultivate students basic abilities of rea
11、ing and improve students basic abilities of reaing.So Ill talk about it by 2 parts. 1.Fast reading Firstly,show the reading skills.Then read the newspaper article.Answer the question: Which picture shows the real criminal? 2.Careful readingRead the article again then answer the questions below.1) Wh
