Yes, they are. /No, they arent to identify the certain objects.” 2.Aims of abilities:(1)To develop the students interests and hobbies from games, performing and other activities in this class.(2)To impove the students listening, speaking, and reading abilities.3.Aims of emotion and attitude:(1)Develop the interest of the students by communication.(2)Enable students to enjoy the pleasure of learning English.Teaching points1.Teaching important points:(1)Can listen, read,and say the words hen, horse, hens, horses. (2)Can understand and say the sentence structures:What are those? They are.2. Teaching difficult points(1)The pronunciation and plural forms of horse and hen.(2)The differences between these and those .Teaching proceduresStep 1 Review and warm up1. Free talk(1)Whats your name? Nice to meet you.(2)How many?(3)Where are my ?Are they on/in/under the ?Yes, they are. /No, they arent.2.Warm-upHave a group competition by singing the saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” the group that say the most will be win in thirty seconds.Design intent: Use Free talk to review and consolidate the teaching content. Then have a group competition to stimulate students interests.Step 2 Presentation and Practice1.Present and practice the sentence structures: What are those?They are .To undertake a link to lead out an apple, many apples, a lot of apples to learn a lot of.Show some pictures to practice a lot of.Do a chant:A duck , many ducks , a lot of ducksA cat, many cats, a lot of catsA dog, many dogs, a lot of dogsI have a lot of animals! (2)Show some books, pens, pencils, rulers to learn: What are those?They are .Learn horse and horses,stress “or” and pay attention to the pronunciation of horses,practice the pronunciation.Use pictures to practice sentences structures in pairs“What are those?They are . ”Design intent: Above two links,present the joyful performance. Attack students attention,Then play the games to practice the target language happily.2.Present and practice the sentence structures: Are they ?Yes, they are. /No, they arent.(Show a picture of cats)T: What are those? Are they cats?Ss: Yes, they are.Show the picture of hens and ask :“Are they ducks?”Ss: No, they arent.Learn the words hen and hens.“s”outlined in red ,pay attention to /z/. then use the game of blowing the balloons to practice reading .Show the pictures and use the game of GoStop to practice the sentence structures “ Are they ?Yes, they are. /No, they arent.”.Design intent: Use the different games to catch students attention, and make students learn the sentence happily.3. The text situational dialogueT:Today,Mike and Sarah are at the farm. Lets watch the cartoon and listen carefully. Play the cartoon,have students listen to it.Play again,have students read after the cartoon. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.Pair-work, role play the conversation.(2)Expansion trainingT:Look , this is our “Happy farm”. We have a lot of animals. Please make a new dialogue about our “Happy farm”with you partner.Show the picture of the “Happy farm”, have student watch it carefully.Have students make their own conversations in pairs according to the given structures.Act out the conversations.Design intent:From this links, have students masre the target language, then use the target language and other sentence structures that they have learned to make their own conversations in order to develop students interests.
