面試網(wǎng)申心得范文 最近很多人問我關(guān)于面試的問題，我簡單講講我的心得吧。 我面過PWM、IBD和S&T，也認(rèn)識(shí)很多interviewer。 希望這些多少對(duì)現(xiàn)在正在準(zhǔn)備面試的同學(xué)們有點(diǎn)幫助。 大體上有那么幾點(diǎn)1）要有自信，不要慌。 banker都是很有個(gè)性的人，你一定要有氣場(chǎng)，在氣勢(shì)上鎮(zhèn)住，但是也要對(duì)interviewer有足夠的尊重和禮貌。 講話一定要?dú)鈩?shì)。 問到不懂的問題沒關(guān)系，要顯得沉著冷靜，很多時(shí)候interviewer就是要看how youapproach aquestion youdont know。 他們value yourapproach morethan youranswer.然后不知道的technical問題都跟一句but Ipick upthings veryfast andI have a strongwillingness tolearn.要有一個(gè)positive attitude.2）寧愿講得簡單點(diǎn)清楚點(diǎn)也不要把東西講得很復(fù)雜很亂。 clear andconcise是最重要的。 人緊張的時(shí)候很容易把一樣的東西用不同的話講很多遍，作為interviewer已經(jīng)面了很多人無聊到死的時(shí)候，你還這樣肯定要掛。 我喜歡把所有東西都成三個(gè)point，這樣就顯得思路很清楚。 很多時(shí)候是不是看how muchyou know，而是看how youdeliver anidea，這才是更重要的。 3）目標(biāo)是兩點(diǎn)fit in&stand out.Fit in是要證明你的skill set和personality可以適合這家公司和這個(gè)division。 Stand out就是要從peer中脫穎而出，要靠你的賣點(diǎn)和別人不同的地方。 第一個(gè)比較容易，但其實(shí)一般有面試的人都能fit in。 第二個(gè)比較難，你需要考慮一下，每個(gè)人的方法也都不同。 我當(dāng)時(shí)是說I ama well-rounded personwith diversified background becauseI haveworked atvarious locationssuch asChina,Hong Kongand theU.S.and fordifferent typesof insitutionsincluding investmentbank,corporate andgovernment.面試的具體問題主要分為兩類，behavioral和technical。 我分別談一下。 Behavioral Questions:Behaviral questions每個(gè)division都問得差不多。 一般最常見的有這么一些Why GoldmanSachs/Moragn Stanley.?給個(gè)example吧。 我當(dāng)時(shí)面Goldman PWM我說了三點(diǎn)原因1）Brand name:Goldman isthe bestof thebest.And as a starter,brand nameis important.2)People:I cannotfind toomuch differenceon theway ofoperations amongdifferent bankson thestreet.And I believe thatwhat reallymakes adifference isthe people.Goldman peopleare nice,helpful andsincere.I havemet.3)Strategy:a)suessful localizationin Chinaand goodplatform高盛高華2)hiring lesspeople butgive eachperson moreresponsibility.Why PWM/IBD/S&T?也給個(gè)exmaple。 我面PWM時(shí)說的1）Combine therole ofrelationship managerand investmentrepresentative-client exposureand productexposure,soft skilland technical skill trainingat the same time2）Emphasis onlong-term andpersonal relationship-I findthose relationshipsto bemore secure,reliable andfortable.3）Ibelievethat thebest jobis ajob thatis different every day.-PWM isone ofthem fortwo reasons:a)we areon themarket sideand themarket ischanging everyday soit isdifferenteveryday;b)our clientse fromdiversifiedbackgroundand theycould befirst-generation entrepreneurs,previous bankersand etc.so everyday isa newday.What isyour strengthand weakness?Tell mean examplehow youwork in a team.What isyour biggestfailure?What haveyou learnedfrom thiswork/leadership experience?Why areyou interestedin XXXon yourresume?答這類問題關(guān)鍵在于千萬不要給每個(gè)人都會(huì)給的answer，要有創(chuàng)意，要persuasive，不要照本宣科，要用心說話。 Technical Questions:PWM/S&T MacroQuestions:What isyour viewon U.S./European/Asian economy?這類問題要答出兩點(diǎn)第一是what itis，第二是what isyour view。 其中涉及很多小問題，比如:Greek debtcrisis,U.S.debt ceiling,Chinese inflation,China economyhard landingv.s.soft landing。 這些都可是在Wall StreetJournal,Financial Times和其他一些報(bào)紙雜志上找到。 但還是三點(diǎn)論比較清楚，千萬不要講亂。 Investment Questions:Where didS&P/Dow Jones/Nasdaq/Hang Sengclose yesterday?What isUSD/EUR now?What hasthe goldprice beenthis month?這些key asset class都要有個(gè)基本的sense。 主要是四塊equity,fixed ine,modity和currency。 建議follow market一段時(shí)間就會(huì)有感覺。 Give mean investmentidea.這個(gè)一定要準(zhǔn)備。 然后要有理由，建議也是準(zhǔn)備三個(gè)，因?yàn)槟愕腸lient可能只有五分鐘給你，你沒有時(shí)間說一大堆。 這個(gè)我比較建議做equity，那你挑一個(gè)比較熟悉的公司，可以多扯扯，而且interviewer如果往細(xì)里問你也說得出。 Do youhaveaportfolio andwhat isyour investment strategy?這個(gè)沒有的話建議開個(gè)模擬賬戶，可以實(shí)戰(zhàn)操練一下。 investmentstrategy主要是兩塊,top-down approach和bottom-up approach。 所謂top-down approach就是看宏觀經(jīng)濟(jì)來決定overweight geographiclocation和sector，而所謂bottom-up approach就是看公司或大宗商品的fundamentals.IBD IBD主要就是看Vault Guide，基本問不出那個(gè)范圍。 Aounting問題三個(gè)statement的relationship。 Finance問題WACC怎么算。 Valutation問題有哪些valutation methodWalk throughDCF。 M&A問題為什么要M&A有什么方法。 Deal問題準(zhǔn)備一個(gè)recent dealOther Questions:What isthe currentprice/market capof GoldmanSachs/Mortan Stanley.?（看你是不是了解該銀行）What do you likethe mostand theleast aboutU.S.and Chineseculture?What doyou wantme to ask you?What questionsdoyouhave forme?最后，我覺得最重要的整體impression，而不是個(gè)別問題的答案。 Make yourinterviewer likeyou最重要，要靠impress theright peopleat 我記錄一下的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，以方便要申請(qǐng)的同學(xué)們做些參考。 網(wǎng)申時(shí)間所有投資銀行的網(wǎng)申時(shí)間可以在他們相應(yīng)的網(wǎng)站上找到。 總體而言，香港office的網(wǎng)申一般是在11月截至，12月電面，1月終面；北美office的網(wǎng)申一般在1月截至，同時(shí)也要在學(xué)校的career center申請(qǐng)，1月下旬2月上旬on-campus interview，之后馬上final round。 網(wǎng)申細(xì)節(jié)1）每個(gè)銀行有不同的policy，一般最typical的是允許申請(qǐng)up to2locations和up to2divisions。 也有不是這樣的，有些只能申請(qǐng)1location和1division，比如說Deutsche Bank，也有些可以申請(qǐng)任意數(shù)量的location和division，比如說Morgan Stanley。 另外要注意的是，有些雖然可以申請(qǐng)2個(gè)location，但是所有的application必須submit allat once，那就意味著你11月申香港的話同時(shí)也要把美國的交了，千萬不要想申美國的但是沒交。 這個(gè)建議同學(xué)們大家發(fā)動(dòng)集體的力量幾個(gè)人做個(gè)spreadsheet把所有的公司的deadline、policy和application link都找出來，就不會(huì)弄錯(cuò)。 2）網(wǎng)申主要分為四部分a）resume這是篩選電面的主要依據(jù)；b）cover letter求職信，給recruiter看的，但其實(shí)不是特別重要，很多人甚至說根本沒人看，但也不能寫太爛；c）behavioral questions網(wǎng)上直接答的一些問題類似于Why GoldmanSachs/Morgan Stanley?Why IBD/S&T/PWM?這個(gè)主要是給HR看的，用處不是非常大，但是也千萬不要screw up；d）online assessments這個(gè)歐洲的銀行會(huì)有，就是你在遞交網(wǎng)申之后，會(huì)收到一個(gè)e-mail link去做assessment，主要分成verbal和numerical，UBS還有l(wèi)ogical。 準(zhǔn)備的方法很簡單，去一個(gè)叫應(yīng)屆生的網(wǎng)站，里面有題庫，有的時(shí)候題目甚至是一模一樣的。 這個(gè)也是過了就可以了。 如何選擇Division主要就是三類a)investment banking；b）sales&trading；c）wealth management。 關(guān)鍵是要選擇你適合和你喜歡的工作。 簡單講一講每個(gè)的不同。 a）Investment banking簡單來說就是help corporations and governmentsraising capital，主要途徑是IPO和M&A。 工作性質(zhì)像是一個(gè)aount和consultant的結(jié)合。 你會(huì)get exposedto manyindustries，有機(jī)會(huì)和這些corporationsandgovernments的CFO、CEO和mangaement team有近距離接觸。 在analyst&associate program之后，你就要選一個(gè)你interested的industry或geographic region，然后settle下來。 想要做IBD的人必須要有very strongaounting and analytical skill，因?yàn)楹芏喙ぷ魇莢aluation和modeling，雖然其實(shí)基本也就是run spreadsheet和make powerpoint。 我覺得junior level的IBD人關(guān)鍵是要有strong executionskill。 IBD最吸引人的地方是因?yàn)閕t givesvery goodtraining andexposure,teaches how to workin ateam andhowtobring somethingfrom anidea toa result.b）Institutional securities，also knownsales&trading，主要分為三部分sales、trading&research。 sales的話是和client的打交道，這些client大多數(shù)都是很多公司的CFO這樣的。 Since they are paidto takeyour call,theyarevery goodat takingthese calls。 他們對(duì)于市場(chǎng)和金融非常了解，所以他們會(huì)問你很多，這個(gè)時(shí)候你必須回答自如。 但是由于client就這個(gè)幾個(gè)，你不用做cold call。 但是所有的銀行都會(huì)pitch，所以如何stand out就看你的本事。 skill比較重要的就是interpersonal,munication andtechnical skills.trading的話，你必須非常smart，because youhave tosee somethingbefore everyoneelse see。 An investmentbank cannottrain youto bea goodtrader，instead,their jobis tofind whoare goodtraders.就是說天才trader都是天生的，他們對(duì)于市場(chǎng)的敏銳性不是后天可以趕上的。 這樣的話，trader的skill大多都是天生的。 Research的話是總結(jié)市場(chǎng)的，做research的話get alot ofmedia exposure.A suessfulinvestment bankercould beunknown，but everysuessulful researcherhas to be well-known.你可以經(jīng)常在電視節(jié)目、雜志上出現(xiàn)，很風(fēng)光。 但是正是因?yàn)檫@樣，也非常transparent，your suessand failure都會(huì)暴露在陽光之下。 skill是兩方面，一方面是technical andanalytical skill去做研究，另一方面是ablity todeliver anidea-munication,writing,summary andpresentation skills.c）Wealth Management主要分為兩類:asset management來服務(wù)機(jī)構(gòu)性客戶和private wealthmanagement/private banking來服務(wù)個(gè)人性客戶。 Asset management傳統(tǒng)上的就是一個(gè)pany有個(gè)portfolio，然后幫他們管理，現(xiàn)在還有非傳統(tǒng)的，就是PE阿什么的。 Private wealthmanagement/private banking在亞洲剛剛開始，而且市場(chǎng)前景空前，尤其是中國的客戶。 PWM是幫助超高凈值客戶(ultra-high-worth clients)來管理資產(chǎn)通過各種投資方式包括股票(equity)、債券(fixed ine)、外匯(currency)、大宗商品(modity)、基金(fund)等等。 根據(jù)客戶的不同需求，比如增值或保值，來為客戶量身訂做portfolio。 PWM相比最下client exposure更早，也是最取決于soft/interpersonal skill的。 我覺得skill set主要是幾點(diǎn)ability toget peoples trustand support,articulate anddeliver aplicated ideain simplelanguage andmarket sense.建議在選擇的時(shí)候，多和在各個(gè)division做過的學(xué)長學(xué)姐和前輩們聊聊，選擇12個(gè)自己喜歡和適合的，這非常重要。 應(yīng)該說，每一個(gè)都是非常不同的工作，也需要非常不同的skill set。 Resume和Cover Letter:有兩個(gè)網(wǎng)站有非常好的guideline，里面也有十分強(qiáng)大的模版。 大家可以去參考一下。 personwith diversifiedexperience.3）這就和寫paper一樣。 walk throughresume也基本就是這樣。 最后就是要多找人改，這非常重要，只有這樣才能逐漸有一份像樣的簡歷。 最后說兩句。 第一，網(wǎng)申的主要精力應(yīng)該放在改簡歷上，這是最重要的。 Management和Private WealthManagement，還是像Janes StrertCapital、Two Sigma這些相對(duì)小的公司。 那么對(duì)這些行業(yè)有興趣和準(zhǔn)備面試的人也需要看。 在入行之前，看看Wall StreetJournal和Financial Times也就夠了，一個(gè)比較general sense有了也就差不多了。 第三，怎么看市場(chǎng)？我這邊說一種老少皆宜的方法。 其實(shí)這種東西沒什么玄乎的，最好的就是top-down approach和bottom-up approach的結(jié)合。 而且這種東西其實(shí)不難，學(xué)什么的人都會(huì)。 先列一個(gè)macro event的list，因?yàn)檫@些會(huì)drive market，然后再go
