Talk about some inventions in China.Let the students look the pictures and know about four ancient inventions in Cpass, gun poweder, moveable type printing, paper.Then say you can see inventions all around us, from TV to car, from food to clothing. We should say nobody can live without them. we live in a world of inventions. These inventions make our life easier and more comfortable. In this unit, we will learn some inventions and their history. First, lets get to know some new words.Step 2.Presentation Present two pictures of Thomas Edison and a light bulb. T: Look at the picture on the Screen. Whats that in English?Ss: .T: (help)Its a light bulb. (Students read “l(fā)ight bulb” after the teacher repeatedly.)T: Who invented the light bulb? Edison invented the light bulb in 1879.Yes, The light bulb was invented by Edison Teacher write the three sentences on the Bb and explain the Passive Voice and the Active Voice.
