onplatform.TheelectricalandinstrumentboundarylimitsareattheterminalslocatedintheLocalControlPanelforthecablesfromjettycontrolroom.Thestructuralboundarylimitislocatedattheundersideofthecontrolpanel.TheUnitControlPanelwillbelocatedintheJettyControlRoom.TheelectricalandinstrumentboundarylimitsareattheterminalslocatedintheUnitControlPanel.Thestructuralboundarylimitislocatedattheundersideofthecontrolpanel.ERECTIONWORKSEquipmentshallbedeliveredbySELLERwithasmuchprefabrication/assemblyworkcompletedaspossibleinordertoreducePURCHASERSerectionworks.INSTALLATIONDATASITELOCATIONANDENVIRONMENTALCONDITIONSReferto"LoadingArmDataSheets"。AREACLASSIFICATIONMarineArmsarelocatedinhazardousarea.Seeequipmentdatasheetsforclassification.GENERALSERVICECONDITIONSPROCESSMarineArmsareintendedfortransferofthecargobetweenshipandonshorestoragetanks.Liquidammoniaarmisintendedtotransferliquidammoniafromtheonshoretanktotheshiptanks.VapourreturnpipelineofLiquidammoniaarmisinternedtoreturnthevapourtothevapourreturnpipeline.Themoltensulphurarmisintendedtotransfermoltensulphurfromshiptoonshore.OPERATINGANDDESIGNCONDITIONSRefertoMarineArmsPackageDatasheets.DESIGNANDCONSTRUCTIONMATERIALSASTMmaterialspecification,orequivalent,shallbeproposedbytheSELLERforreviewandapproval.Thefollowingmaterialsshallbepreferablychosen:Incontactwithammonialiquid&vapour:<A333Gr.6>Incontactwithmoltensulfur:<A106Gr.B>Hydraulictubing&fittings:Type304LorType316LAluminiumshallnotbeusedfortheMarineArms.SwiveljointsandfluidcarryingpartsofcouplersshallbeconstructedofmaterialswhichdonotcausegalvanicactionwiththepipeusedintheMarineArm.Thesealringmaterialshallbesuitableforthefluidtobepumpedandforexposuretoambientanddesigntemperature.AllexposedpartswhichmoverelativetoeachotherforthefollowingMarineArmcomponentsshallbecorrosionresistanttomarineatmosphere,particularly:manualblockvalvesinthehydraulicsystem,hydrauliccylinderandmotors,SwiveljointsPurgingconnections.DESIGNREQUIREMENTSGeneralAllequipmentshallbedesignedforaminimumdesignlifeof25years.SELLERshouldprovidealistoftheanticipatedmajorcomponentsrequiringreplacementtofulfilthisrequirement.MarineArmsandancillaryfacilitiesshallbedesignedtohavesufficientresistanceforthevariousloadscombinationsspecifiedinthisspecification.Allcomponentsshallbefullyproveninfieldservice.ThestructuralpartoftheMarineArmsshallbeindependentoftheproductcarryingpipe.LayoutandarrangementThedesignshallbesuchthatMarineArmscanbefullyopenedatfullcapacity.MarineArmlengths,workingrange,clearancesandlocationofthetrunnionswivel-jointconnectionshallberesolvedbytheSELLER,basedontheoperatingenvelopedeterminedonthebasisofthedesigndatagiveninthedatasheets.LengthsandclearancesshallbedefinedonthebasisthatMarineArmsmaybeoperatedsinglyandincombination,asindicatedinthedatasheet,forbothmaximumandminimummanifoldspacingasspecified.Clearancesshallnotbelessthanfollowingvalues:0.30mminimumclearancebetweenanypartofanoperatingMarineArmandfixedobjects,0.60mminimumclearancebetweenanypartsofadjacentMarineArms.Adiagramforworkingrange<withalarmsteps>shallbefurnishedbytheSELLER.InthestoredpositionnoportionofthearmshallextendbeyondtheUnloadingplatformface.TherangeofMarineArmmovementsshallallowtheoutboardjoint<tripleswivel>tobepositionedontheplatformformaintenanceallowingaminimumof1mclearspacearoundtheoutboardjoint.Laddersandplatformsshallbeprovidedforaccesstothetrunnionandapexswivelsunlessspecifiedotherwiseinthedatasheet.Maintenanceaccessandladderswithsafetydevicealongrisersandinboardarmshallbeprovided.StressanalysisSELLERshallanalysestressesanddeflectionsintheMarineArmandshipmanifoldsinallappropriatearmconditionsandspecifiedcounterweight.TransientthermalstressesWhenspecifiedinthedatasheet,inadditiontothestressanalysesundersteadythermalloads,SELLERshallperformastudyofthermalstressesintransientconditionsduringMarineArmscoolingdownoperations.Thermalstressesintransientconditionsshallnotexceedthe"AllowableStressforThermalShocks"<ASTS>.Thermalstressesshallbeanalysedasfollows:Whenthegeometryoftheequipmentorofoneofitscomponentswhichcanbetreatedindependentlyfromtheunit,issimpleie.incaseof"thinshell"typestructures,itisacceptable,onthebasisofasimplifiedhypotheses,tofindananalyticalsolutiontotheequationsgoverningtheevolutionofthermalstresses,Whentheequipmentgeometryiscomplex,itisrecommendedthatthethermalstressesareacalculationusingtheFiniteElementMethod.Itisrecommendedthatcalculationresultsbevalidatedagainstmeasurements,orbycomparison,withaknownsolution.SWIVELJOINTSANDSTRUCTURALBEARINGSLiquidammoniaswiveljointshallbecartridgetype.Whenlubricated,structuralswiveljointsshallbecapableofbeinglubricatedwithoutdismantling.Lubricationpointsshallbereadilyaccessibleinboththestoredandmaintenancepositions.Alubricantreliefportshallbeprovidedtosafeguardagainstoverpressurisation.Exceptfortheoutboardjoint<triple>swivel,allswiveljointassembliesshallhavedevicestopermitrepackingwithoutdismantlingmajorsectionsofMarineArms.Theswiveljointsshallhaveballorrollerbearings.Theoutboardjoint<triple>swivel,whererequired,includingsupportdevice,couplerandvalving,shallbebalancedsothattheoutboardflangeremainsintheverticalplaneforallMarineArmattitudes.Swivelsforliquidammoniaserviceshallbedesignedsothatexternalwatercannotpenetrateandfreezeinthejointsbetweenrotatingpartsoftheswivel.SwiveljointsmechanicaldesignshalltakeintoaccountthesafetyfactorsdefinedbyPara.5.5and5.6ofOCIMF"DesignandConstructionSpecificationforMarineLoadingArms".QUICK-CONNECT/DISCONNECTCARGOCOUPLERS<QCDC>MarineArmsshallbeequippedwithQuickConnect/DisconnectCouplersforshipconnectionsasspecifiedintheMarineArmPackagedatasheets.Minimum/maximumclosuretimesoftheQCDCcouplershallbeasperOCIMFTable11.Aligningandcentringdevicesshallbefurnishedbasedonsizesoftheflangestowhichthecoupleristoconnect.TheflangeratingoftheQCDCcouplershallbeASMEClass150.TheQCDCcouplershalladapttootherthanASMEflanges.TheQCDCcouplershallholdaflangecovertopreventingressofdirtandwaterwhentheMarineArmisdisconnected.ThiscovershallremainattachedtotheQCDCcoupler<whentheQCDCcouplerisopenedaccidentally>,butneednotbedesignedtowithstandtheloadingarmfluiddesignpressure.LubricationofallmovingpartsshallbepossiblewithoutdismantlingtheQCDCcoupler.ThestrengthoftheQCDCcouplershallbebasedonPara.6.5ofOCIMF"DesignandConstructionSpecificationforMarineLoadingArms".Thedesigngaugepressureshallbethemaximumof19kg/cm2orthespecifieddesignpressure.SPOOLPIECESSpoolpiecesshallbesuppliedbytheSELLERtoallowconnectionofMarineArmstovariousshipmanifoldconnections.POWEREDEMERGENCYRELEASECOUPLINGS<PERC>TheAmmoniaLoadingArmshallbeequippedwithahydraulicallypoweredemergencyreleasecoupling<PERC>neartheoutboardendoftheArmfittedbetweentwoballvalveshydraulicallyoperated.ThePERCshallpermitacleanandsafeseparationoftheAmmoniaLoadingArmfromtheshipmanifold.ItisacceptablethatthesectionofthetripleswiveloutboardoftheemergencyreleasecouplingremainsattachedtotheShipmanifold,toberecoveredlater.Accumulatorsorotherhydraulicmeansshallbeprovidedtoenableemergencyreleaseintheeventofelectricpowerfailure.Intheeventofhydraulicorelectricpowerfailure,thePERCshallfailsafeandremainsecurelyclosed.ThePERCshallbeautomaticallyactivatedwhenthearmreachesbeyondthelimitsoftheworkingrangereducedbyasafetymarginspecifiedinthedatasheet.ProvisionshallbemadeinthecontrolsystemtomoveautomaticallyandtoholdallMarineArmsclearoftheShipdeckandsideonactuationofthePERC.ThePERCshallbecontrolledfromthejettycontrolroom,designatedoutsidecontrolpointsandbyhardwiresignalfromterminalESDsystem.Thecontrolshallbeprotectedagainstaccidentaloperation<e.g.bysafetypinorcover>.Thereshallbenoadditionalmanualmeansavailablefortriggeringthereleaseoftheemergencyreleasesystem.ThearrangementofthePERCattheoutboardendofthearmshallbesuchthatthePERCandarmcomponentsremainingontheShipafteremergencyreleasewillnotfallontheShipdeckormanifoldserviceplatform.ThehydrauliccylinderoperatingtheemergencyreleasethePERCshallbedoubleacting.ThestrengthoftheERSshallbebasedonPara.ofOCIMF"DesignandConstructionSpecificationforMarineLoadingArms".Inthiscase,thedesigngaugepressureshallbethemaximumof19kg/cm2orthespecifieddesignpressure.DuringthereleaseoftheEmergencyReleaseCouplingthehydraulicpowersystemshallautomaticallyblocktheslewingmovementoftheMarineArmsduetowindloadandconsequentlypreventcollisionofthedisconnectedMarineArms.HydrauliccircuitforPERCcontroltobeequippedwithamanualoperatedlockingvalveinstalleddirectlyattripleswivelassemblytobeopenedattimeofconnectionandclosedattimeofdisconnection.Acontrolswitchistobeprovidedtodetectitsposition.Positionclosed:ThemanoeuvringoftheMarineArmispossible.DisconnectionofthePERCduringmanoeuvringorrestpositionoftheMarineArmisnotpossible.Positionopened:Freewheelisactivated,thedisconnectionofthePERCispossibleincaseofemergencyafterclosingoftheballvalves.Thetrappedvolumebetweentheballvalvesshallbeminimisedtolimitthespillincaseofrelease.ValvesshallbefiresafecertifiedinaccordancewithAPI607,ISO10497orBS6755andbesuitablefortheservice.HydraulicpipingshallcomplywiththefireproofingrequirementofISO10497orequivalent.TheERSdoubleballvalvesshallbehydraulicallyactuatedandthedesignclosuretimeshallbe5
