8、xcite v. 激動(dòng),興奮excited adj. 興奮的 exciting adj. 令人興奮的pride n. 自豪,驕傲 proud adj. 自豪,驕傲不同點(diǎn):pride為名詞,常用搭配為take pride in或be proud of。proud為形容詞,常用搭配為be proud of。overcome v. 克服,戰(zhàn)勝 (overcame, overcome) e.g. we can and must overcome our shortcomings. 我們能夠而且必須克服我們的缺點(diǎn)。3. i remember starting day one.the shyest in
9、my whole class.never speaking to anyone.and thinking i would not pass.remember doing sth.意為“記得做過某事”,表示動(dòng)作已經(jīng)發(fā)生。remember to do sth. 意為“記著去做某事”,表示動(dòng)作尚未發(fā)生。根據(jù)句意及括號(hào)內(nèi)所給動(dòng)詞的提示填空。1) remember _ (call) us when you get there. 2) i remember _ (tell) you about it last week.keys: 1)to call 2)telling 4. then slow

12、 ones cool 沉住氣;保持冷靜 cool用作名詞。e.g. “i must keep my cool,” she thought. “l(fā)osing my temper isnt going to help.” 她想:“我要保持冷靜,發(fā)脾氣是不會(huì)起作用的。”與keep ones cool意思相似的有keep cool。e.g. keep cool! 保持冷靜!注意:keep cool中的cool用作形容詞,而keep ones cool中的cool為名詞。6. but its difficult not to cry.ill miss the school trees and flowe
