Talking About Your Future LifeUnit7 Writing 3a-3c教學設計及反思上虞區(qū)豐惠鎮(zhèn)中學 朱麗娜【教材分析】這是八年級上冊的一節(jié)以讀促寫課,短文以“what will your life be like in the future?”為主線,描述了Jill 20年以后的生活,內容貼近學生日常生活和學習實際,能夠激起學生對自己的未來生活進行大膽預測與暢想。同時,這篇短文從寫作內容、篇章處理及寫作句型上來講都是一篇絕佳的寫作例文,是培養(yǎng)學生閱讀與簡單的仿寫能力的最好材料,所以后面的寫作也自然水到渠成了?!緦W情分析】學生在前面學習的基礎上,對本單元的話題已有所了解,相關的語言知識也有了一定的基礎。但對綜合能力要求比較高的短文的選詞填空,學生還有一定的困難。尤其是在理解與分析篇章的基礎上要仿寫出一片好文章,難度更大。因此,在學生閱讀時,要引導學生仔細閱讀,站在篇章的角度理解文章,分析文章,理清文章的寫作思路,從而為學生的寫作做好鋪墊。Teaching aims:By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:* to consolidate the usage of “Ill be/do”, “There will be ”, “more, less, fewer” , “I think Illbecause”, “I think there will bebecause”by reading the text about life in 20 years;* learn the structure of writing an essay after reading;* write a well-organized essay modeled on the text.Teaching procedures:Step I Greeting and reading1. T: Hello,boys and girls.We are talking about “what will your life be like in the future?”in Unit7. This is my friend, Jill. And this passage is her answer to the question.(show Jills photo and 3a) Read Jills answers to the question “What will your life be like in the future?” Fill in the blanks with the words in box.Before doing it, I have some learning guide and tips for you. Read by yourself. Learning guide(學習指導):1.獨立自主完成3a課文填空;2.同桌合作,核對答案;3.同桌討論課文包含內容并找出重點詞組。Tips(小提示): 1.閱讀文章,整體把握短文大意,了解主題并閱讀備選單詞,明白單詞意思;2.分析有空格的每個句子,根據(jù)句意及上下文意思來判斷每個空格應填的詞;3.再讀短文,看是否通順合理。Students finish 3a within 3 minutes.2. Check the answers with deskmates first, then check them with the teacher by reading the passage together.3. Suggest a title for the passage.設計意圖:教師開門見山導入話題,介紹朋友Jill 以及Jills answer to the question “What will your life be like in the future?”,自然引出3a短文,并選詞填空。在做填空之前,教師給予了閱讀指導以及一些解題方法的指導,對學生有很大的幫助。 接著,通過問題“What items does Jill talk about in her future life?”要求學生一一羅列短文中所寫到的不同方面,并形成一張表格。表格與3b類似,既簡單明了地呈現(xiàn)了3a的內容,又為3b的呈現(xiàn)做好準備。然后,再讀短文,要求學生找出Jill在描寫不同方面時所用的不同句式,以及里面所用的連詞。連詞在寫作中起著重要的作用,它會讓整篇文章更連貫、自然,讓文章整體更上一個檔次。不管是句式還是連詞的學習,都為下一步的寫作做好了充分的準備,這是寫作前有效的信息輸入。Step II BrainstormingT:So what do you think of Jills life in 20 years? Ss: T:Do you want to live a life like hers? Why or why not? Ss: T:As for you, what kind of future life do you want to live? Ss: Can you share the details with us? Complete the chart about your life 20 years from now. You can add more items. (3b)設計意圖:這一環(huán)節(jié)通過總結Jills future life并簡單評價,自然過渡到談論學生自己的將來生活,通過brainstorming activity完成3b 表格,為下一步寫作做好鋪墊。Step III WritingIts time to write about your life 20 years from now. Use 3a and 3b to help you. (3c)Before writing,I have some writing tips for you.Writing tips: Tip1: Focus on the items youd like to write (the key words in the chart)-its the main body of the passage.(寫全寫作要點是最基本的。)Tip2: Write wonderful sentences.a. Make your sentences different. (小提示:句子多樣化可以幫助我們得高分哦!) b. Make your sentences longer. (小提示:擴句可以幫助我們得高分哦!) c. Make your sentences better. (小提示:優(yōu)美的句子可以幫助我們得高分哦!) Then list different kinds of conjunctions that we can use in our own writing.T: OK! Try your best to finish the passage. I think youll do a good job. After finishing the body of the passage, please add the beginning and the ending of the passage. I believe youll share us your wonderful writing tomorrow!設計意圖:在3a,3b的信息輸入后,在寫學生自己的future life時,信息輸出已經水到渠成了。為了能讓學生寫出更好的句子,教師又給出了幾個小提示:學會寫多樣化的句子;寫更長、意義更完整的句子;用上好詞、好句及連詞寫更優(yōu)美的句子。每個小提示教師都舉了相應的例子,幫助學生理解。Step IV Summary Work hard, you can make your dream come true. ( 有志者,事竟成。)【教學反思】閱讀和寫作一直是英語學習的半壁江山,即所謂“得讀寫者,得天下”。確實如此。但是要提高閱讀理解能力和書面表達能力決不是一兩節(jié)課就能解決的問題,他們需要長時間的學習和訓練,但好的教學方法可以收到事半功倍的效果。讀寫結合、以讀促寫的訓練,我認為是提
